Hello everybody. You can all breathe a heavy sigh of relief: I'm back! Thanks for the thread George. Appreciated but unnecessary! It's nice that so many of you wished me well. IDRN - I'd be lying if I said I hadn't changed over the past two years. That's undeniable. Basically my breakup really messed me up, it was the loss of my first real love and I took it very hard for about a year. The way I felt it, I lost everything, and had to rebuild myself from the ground up. I mean it when I say that it's not you I've been snubbing, it's the whole world. I'm naturally pretty introverted and don't get out that much unless I'm physically dragged. Luckily I'm surrounded by really good people and good friends at the moment and I finally feel like the dark times of the past two years might be over. I'm always going to struggle with depression and being a miserable cunt generally, and it means a lot to me that amongst it all you remember the good times, cause I do too. Once I'm in regular work, I'll see you soon.

And the rest of you, well, you're OK too. I really have missed this place. I've been checking it on my crappy old phone when time and patience have allowed. My life's changed a lot just in the past few months - new house, new housemates, all that jazz - and you'll probably see a different side to me now. I'm going to put all the posturing and trolling to one side and perhaps the noobish haters will get to see the genuine, decent Iain C. At least I hope I'm genuine and decent. Some of the time.

i was looking dreamily at a photo of bilinda butcher at work today, and i thought of you.

No-one in my house recognises the glory of pre-Loveless MBV, which to be fair is an improvement on my last house where I was the only shoegazer. Actually this house prefers Slowdive. It makes me sad inside.
