I know there is a thread by karmakramer in the SP subforum but I had to make one here...

I found an mp3 of what is up on youtube, it is way too bassy, in a bad way but holy fuck!

He needs to release this music...

It is pertinent to keeping idm alive in the wayward minds of those of us who forget so easily...

It is too fucking good!

please Tom please!

and if anyone has a good mp3 of this, please message me!

if you wanted a decent recording of this, you should've bought me a decent mic. considering i'm jobless, i got the best mic i could afford.

you're welcome

i actually made that thread here too, but it got moved to the squarepusher forum. I don't think people who haven't heard this realize what they are missing out on. And I was just about to ask if anyone had a good mp3 rip of this too...? Those youtube videos are the best quality I have heard, it'd be great to get a FLAC from the original tape.

sorry, it just really grates on me when people complain about the quality of the recording.

i stood at the front the entire night so i could try and get the best recording i could with minimal crowd chatter. as a consequence, the group of people i was with before the night had wandered off and i was on my own for the entire 8 hours of the show. not to mention i was holding up a mic for most of the night.

then i actually spent the time to upload the source from Minidisc (isn't actually that fast), chop off unwanted noise, spend hours uploading while being unable to browse the net because VirginMedia suck.

and then there's many comments about the bass.

yes there is a better quality version thanks to phudoshin. by the looks of it, he and myself were the only people who had the foresight to actually record this.

hmm... unfortunately I don't feel too much sympathy for you, cause I would have done all of that easy had I been able to stand in the front and see this show before my very eyes. I am sure the whole experience would have been better for you had you not had to worry about recording it... but I am sure your recording will be something you cherish and listen to years from now, it will be a way to remember.

cool. last time i make a recording for the community.

yeah man....

if you and one other person are the only ones who recorded this...

you will make shit tons of people so happy! That is a good reward for the hard work....

sorry to be one of those fuckers saying it is too bassy (and coming from a dubstep head/bass player, HA!)...

I guess the film from the show will hopefully be released someday?

I know Warp Recs are going to make a Warp20 film, this should be a whole dvd to itself....

maybe they will release a shit ton of footage and it won't be a lame best of film but like 10 dvds...please lord please?!?

Dude chill out....

Keep recording...

lots of people are listening to this right now...

and thanking the universe that someone actually recorded it...

oscillik, I loved the recording. People that are complaining about the quality don't really understand your situation. Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Wish I could have been there.

not really a bad day, more of a shitload of negativity regarding stuff when i'm trying to help or contribute to communities. i think it's probably best i don't bother in future, that way i don't have a vested interest in something when it's belittled / quoted out of context / etc etc (most of the negativity has been from another forum. no not THAT one)

anyone who gives you shit for a bad bass recording is a dumbass, who doesn't deserve to listen to such recording in the first place. I really wouldn't get worked up about it. You got to see the show, you did your best to record it, and that's it. It's your call whether you want to do this again, but honestly I would hope so, because there are people who really do appreciate it (though usually they aren't as vocal as the pissers)

I was there too and am grateful for the recordings made. The Squarepusher and Clark sets have had several plays here. Oscilik, did you record any of the other sets?

I too was at the front for several sets and can vouch for how loud and bass laden some of the music was. Probably didn't help that I was stood directly in front of one of the speakers.

Fuck me mate, all he said is that he would like the tracks in a better quality, i imagine you would too. It reads like Atops asked to cock gag your nan. Thanks for the record, but I too wouldnt mind them to be officially released.
