oh.....i feel with you, i once hit a little dog in front of a church and had to bring the mangled remains of the little guy to the pastor

who owned the dog. it was disturbing to say the least. he was forgiving. (true story)

you should try to ride bikes more or walk.

cars are a receipt for disaster.

if the cat is dead then have faith that it suffered well.

(sorry about my last post, i read your description wrong)

I fucking love this guy. You are a motherfucking POET!!! Don't ever stop doing those crazy things you do with your post format, even if people flame you for it.

Yeah seeing animals get hit by cars definitely sucks. To be fair though you guys were just really unlucky to hit a cat that had already lost 8 lives.

Actually, it did run off didn't it?

Ah xxx, I didn't even think, if he had stayed writhing in the road, perhaps we would ahve done that, actually I know my friend would have done that because he loves cats and he would have just shot it most likely, but how he managed to leap away I do not know. My friends gf said even when extremely damaged they can sometimes leap to a place to calm down, and attempt to walk home, but it was the screams that freaked me. He sounded in too much pain, but like she said, if he was still able to move somewhat, then maybe.

troon, if it had been a dog I think it would have been worse, as I have owned them. It is actually an offense to run over a dog in England, and if you leave the seen of the crime, even if the dog is ok, you can go to prison. Little fact for you there.

Yeah it did Dan, but as I say the screams of agony sounded way too much for it. Although the writhing and screaming I now know COULD have been down to shock. Still fucking horrible, it would have been better if it had died outright tbh, it would have been easier to see it instantly dead than in that pain.

And yes troon is pretty awesome :).

it's all luck and coincidence, really, there is no way around it, you killed the cat, shit happens, nothing will come of it as it wasn't meant to be jut as much as it was.

No problem, just no sense in a separate post every time you want to reply.

I'm with xxx, too. I had to put out some baby mice for a guy with a snake when I was working at the pet store, and the manager came up to see what was taking me so long (I was doing it wrong). So she showed me how to pop them on the head, and I started doing that.

When I told her (after the guy had left with his dead baby mice, which, incidentally, we would have frozen to reduce the cruelty had he called even five hours ahead) that one of them ended up with a smooshed skull and an eyeball out of socket, she told me I did it too hard, and we ended up laughing until she was crying.

Fucking lol, that made me laugh too, you certainly painted the picture.

I investigated a run-over raccoon in the middle of the street a couple days ago, or rather I followed my girlfriend's lead. Everything was in tact except for the face, which was like raw ground beef. I had to look away pretty fast, but I managed to keep my dinner down. I swear I've seen more dead animals on the road this year than at any other point in my life. Usually it's been accompanied with either extreme metal or Skinny Puppy playing in my discman, which is weird because I don't listen to either that often.

I learn something new every day; I thought at least most of those guys would be dead by now.
