As stated earlier, Forced Exposure has all Monolake's albums (as well as most of his EPs) for sale at a cheap price.

Thank me, bunch of noobs.

that doesn't mean they have any in stock. i've ordered a couple times from FE where i was informed that some of the stuff that i ordered wasn't in stock.

Plus, Forced Exposure has an air of illegitimacy to it... Am I the only one who thinks that?

Reminds me of those old music web shops they all look identical and have different names. Had every music ever in stock with horribly stretched thumbnails of the album covers and absolutely were NOT to be trusted!

I am aware of those issues on FE. It never occurred to me, that's all...

Welp, I actually put in an order for several of Monolake's albums on FE and the order got cancelled because they don't have them in stock. Lame!

I know it's not the same as a physical release but there is always the Robert Henke selection at 14tracks:

Could maybe work for you as a stop gap, I've got 4 or 5 of his albums but bought it anyway - I'd probably just been paid and feeling flush - and it's a pretty enjoyable compilation just to listen to.

Really, you don't dig Monolake? What albums have you listened to? He may not be super groundbreaking but he had a very distinct style and consistently delivers in my opinion.

yeah. unique style, consistently good, great production, great moods, great sounds. everything sounds like it's in it's right spot.

i just don't think i've been exposed to the right recorded stuff of his. I saw him play an amazing live show in san francisco on a 16 channel surround system. IT was BY FAR the best integration of multichannel audio with modern electronic music i've seen. Ever since then i've checked out a few lps but probably not the right ones, he has a lot of material out there. please give me some recommendation's you would think i would appreciate Six, i think you know my musical tastes a little based on soulseek shite

Silence is overall way more ambient then the rest of Robert Henke's work as Monolake. To be honest, I was uncertain when I started listening to the album. As I listened through the first few tracks, the atmosphere really grew on me. What I still don't get are those glitchy instruments that appear in some tracks... I am probably going to purchase this "future classic" before it becomes discontinued and a collector's item within the few weeks following its release. I would probably award Silence as one of the best albums of 2009 judging by my first listen.

I would start with Momentum. Sounds like Autechre taking on Basic Channel to me.

Judging by the initial reactions here it seems like this is going to be good - gonna try to hold off until it comes out but will be looking forward to it in the meantime.

Also, I didn't realise until checking out the discogs page that robert henke has a shitload of unreleased monolake up on the website, probably jazzy news but news to me
