Plus, Forced Exposure has an air of illegitimacy to it... Am I the only one who thinks that? Reminds me of those old music web shops they all look identical and have different names. Had every music ever in stock with horribly stretched thumbnails of the album covers and absolutely were NOT to be trusted! jeyemusik
I know it's not the same as a physical release but there is always the Robert Henke selection at 14tracks: http://www.14tracks.com/selections/65-the_imbalanced_computer_music_of_robert_henke Could maybe work for you as a stop gap, I've got 4 or 5 of his albums but bought it anyway - I'd probably just been paid and feeling flush - and it's a pretty enjoyable compilation just to listen to. john Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide jeyemusik's signature Hide all signatures http://jeye.bandcamp.com Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/50733-monolake-silence/page/2/#findComment-1171838 Share on other sites

awepittance
i just don't think i've been exposed to the right recorded stuff of his. I saw him play an amazing live show in san francisco on a 16 channel surround system. IT was BY FAR the best integration of multichannel audio with modern electronic music i've seen. Ever since then i've checked out a few lps but probably not the right ones, he has a lot of material out there. please give me some recommendation's you would think i would appreciate Six, i think you know my musical tastes a little based on soulseek shite Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide awepittance's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/50733-monolake-silence/page/2/#findComment-1172173 Share on other sites

Guest Enter a new display name
Silence is overall way more ambient then the rest of Robert Henke's work as Monolake. To be honest, I was uncertain when I started listening to the album. As I listened through the first few tracks, the atmosphere really grew on me. What I still don't get are those glitchy instruments that appear in some tracks... I am probably going to purchase this "future classic" before it becomes discontinued and a collector's item within the few weeks following its release. I would probably award Silence as one of the best albums of 2009 judging by my first listen. BobDobalina
Judging by the initial reactions here it seems like this is going to be good - gonna try to hold off until it comes out but will be looking forward to it in the meantime. Ego Posted November 26, 2009 Report Share Edit Hide Delete Posted November 26, 2009 This is superb. Lot of Autechry sounds. Will check out some older Monolake stuff as well.
