ive lost quite a few stone dancing like a wanker three times a week, its great. im weighing up which is more fun, pulling off a sick performance on the piano, hearing a beautifully bassy drop on a nice soundsystem, or sex.

atm i think im actually going for the nice bassy drop.

dont know why i phrased it like that, just doesnt seem to be much discussion on it. i dont really know how to describe the style i like apart from listing names, drexcyia, original detroit techno stuff doesnt interest me remotely.

im sounding like a dick here, its too early in the morning

this sounds interesting, recommend me some?

not like them though. interesting stuff though, thoroughly enjoyed the kit clayton tune. not sure how it would go down on a dancefloor though, needs more beefy grooved up bass. what sort of era is it?

'98 I believe....

the actual album version sounds much better...

and his record "Repetition and Nonsense" is amazing...

what music you are speaking of is huge here in Austin as well....

I was taking the piss a bit but I do love the tracks I put up, even the three 6 mafia...

I don't understand the fascination with ultra-minimal house music right now, as much as you don't enjoy the dubstep craze....

this is as close as I get to Minimal:

I just need more to my electronics, beat wise, or good ambience/experimentation

The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Underworld is about as far as I go. Does that count?

EDIT: I'm so lost

to messiaen: yeah I know....

I like melodies too much....

seems like most minimal has no melody or one so hidden that it is hard for me to grasp onto anything about the track...

dig what you dig, I will now leave your thread alone...

im not sure we are on the same wavelength verticalhold, i dont mean to be rude but thats like the weakest track ive ever heard.

*shrug* jib. im off to uni.

i listened to a bit of minimal a couple of years ago, but already then it was starting to get flooded with poo, and it all started to sound samey. then i started to listen to dubtechno, which one could argue also sounds the same, so go figure. villalobos is the only one i still listen to, cuz his stuff has some originality.

fyi: Fever Ray is one half of The Knife

I'm familiar. Fever Ray is excellent - Dry & Dusty is my favourite track

I like a lot Subzero & this remix of Roland M. Dill.

Listen to my mixes if you like that kind of stuff.

Maybe you'll like IT.
