there's no way that this isn't some inside joke. this can't be real, it's too hilarious.

that preview is about 10x more entertaining than the actual show

you should have seen my reaction when i discovered this wasn't some sitcom or crime show starring seagal, but a full blown reality show about steven seagal DEPUTY SHERRIF.

i cried.

I'd pay very good money for karate lessons from Steven Seagal.

he's basically an honorary deputy sheriff, not a real cop.

wait so he wasn't even elected? i am under the possibly false impression that to become a sherrif you have to jump through some kind of hoops either election or something else

I will say after taking it for only a year, aikido is THE SHIT, and effective as fuck. Not flashy, but goddamn effective.

not to be a deputy. At least not in any of the counties I've lived. It's just like becoming a regular cop, except for the county, not the city. Only the actual head sheriff gets elected.

i had to work so i missed the action. i'll report back if i hear about any broken necks or karate kicking native spirits

I sort of used to think of Van Damme as in the same category as Seagal, but he made that JCVD film about how he's not really a superhero in real life while Seagal is making this series about how he is really a superhero in real life.
