and that's why space exploration is a good use of money!

Cassini is fucking awesome.

that dodgy moon with the equatorial ridge (also one bright face, one fark face - caused by captured rotation and dust and shit) is Iapetus.

that's no moon!

Cassini is one of the coolest most idm things known to me

Fully agree. That, and the Kepler space telescope (which is unfortunately irreparably broken now), the Voyager probes with freakin' golden records (thanks to the coolest astrophysicist stoner the world has ever seen), and the Hubble: our space toys are among the greatest things we've ever done.

More cool images on Wired again today about the sixth planet's hexagon cloud: http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2013/12/cassini-saturn-hexagon/

It's amazing how it keeps that shape despite being, y'know, clouds n' shit.

its an alien base. earth is the zoo planet.

its rotational period appears to be the same as that of saturn's solid core

saturn's rotational period is approximated by radio signals emitted by is magnetic field, which

sound idm as #@&*
