was in auckland for most of it. 'bout 3 weeks there, a couple of days in queenstown, and then two days in rotorua, funnily enough. then one in taupo.

went skydiving in rotorua for the first time with nzone. 15,000 foot jump. highly recommended if that sort of thing is your sort of thing. =) the geothermal spas in rotorua were pretty decent too. the polynesian spa was the nicer of the ones we checked out, but a bit crowded.

got a bunch of field recordings and worked out about 20 rough tracks while there too. tried to collab. with local NZ musicians, but it ended up being too difficult to coordinate with my schedule. maybe next time.

i've been making music in exactly the same software - modplug tracker - for i think 10 years now. if i could dig out the old hard drive i could give an exact date on my first download of it but it's hardly worth it. can't find the very oldest file due to having to zip stuff up back when hard drive space was at a premium but 01/09/99 is the oldest i can find on readily accessible storage. since then i've saved well over 6000 tracker files right up to today. before that i probably messed about with homemade loops & cooledit pro & just making noises for a couple of years but it's only worth counting from when i started tracking.
