So I put all the track lengths into a spreadsheet and crunched up some graphs for each album that show the comparison of track length. I didn't bother doing the albums with less than 4 tracks. Quite pointless indeed but it is mildly interesting to look over:

Wow. Hats off to you. This is exactly the level of nerdiness I love to see around here.

Everyone else -- you have been slacking! Take thehauntingsoul's lead here and get on it.

Maybe someone should take these patterns, translate them into audio and write a track.

so fandom drives you to organise music stats? i know you don't benefit from it...but you know you'd get ridicule from it, right? after seeing this and your BoC video, i've concluded that you just enjoy doing stuff with music

it kinda looks like the first few albums follow the same pattern. get shorter and shorter, then go back up

Edited by Calx Sherbet

I did it in linguistics class because I didn't have access to the internet and was bored to tears.

edit: Oh and the BoC video was done as part of my portfolio for my university application

it's all about the music man

foods in the tone of 'go to the fuckin store'

patayda chips

apple cracker thangies

carrots in brown paper bag

If you still have access to the excel files, could you possibly throw ALL the data onto one graph, so I could see all of it to scale? It would be cool to relate patterns across albums, as well as look for the longest and shortest ae tracks of all time.

I will do this but it will take a bit of time to make sure everything stays colour-coded. Dunno when this will happen.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Melve and

a) Radio Mix (actually several tracks mashed together)

or

b) Perlence subrange 6-36 (unless you don't count this as real music, in which case..)

c) Sublimit (otherwise longest track)

Also,
