Aleksi Perälä - Mental Union

the last three tracks are fantastic and the tear drops cover makes me chuckle, need to listen to boom blaster, i hope it lives up to its name.

Teardrops is really good, as are all the songs. I'm really fond of the noise that sounds like a bunch of bubbles being released every 16 beats in Hyperwave.

isn't one of aleksi's friends a member of the boards? i remember reading a track title that showed up on boom blaster. perhaps they could give a circa date for the material on these two releases.

Nearly done playing this for the first time, and yeah...wow. This is quality stuff. I've had Project V for a few years (only stuff I'd heard of his) and hadn't gotten into it that much. I just played it again yesterday though and several tracks were really nice, so it inspired me to check out the new stuff. I must say Mental Union is a lot more upbeat, which probably makes it easier to get into compared to Project V. Anyway, a new found respect for Aleksi this week. Can't wait to hear more.

Spent last week listening to this a whole bunch of times. Great stuff.

Teardrops is my stand out, but then I love how it moves from Moonstone to Leap Through Time.

'hyperwave' has got me all excited

Just rollerbladed in to say that this album delivers on all counts. Loving hyperwave and birthday and pretty much everything in betwixt (especially leap through tim)

according to his website, there should be a 2 cd set (Mental Union) & a second Boom Blaster Ep on Rephlex in 2011.
