Amon Tobin is what got me into IDM and other more "experimental" electronic (and, I guess, non-electronic) music. iTunes used to have an "Experimental Electronica" essential compilation that was really good. I was in 7th or 8th grade and discovered that and was like "Holy shit, what is this, it's amazing". Four Ton Mantis was one of my favorites.

Such a bumping track, both these guys were at the top of their games when this came out

That box set looks nice, but trying to digest it all would seem tantamount to drinking from a fire hose.
