uhh, wu brought a lot more flavor than PE. no comparison really

PE changed my life. I'll fovever be indebted to them for blowing my mind at an early age.

PE are awesome, It Takes a Nation and Fear of a Black Panet are easily six star albums. The Terminator X solo joint and Apocalypse 91 were decent too but by then they had already peaked - for the most part I choose to ignore everything they've done after that

This thread is a crazy coincidence because I just heard Fight the Power on the radio 2 days ago (it was like an old-school hour or something). Man that Bomb Squad production took the game to a whole new level, no one at the time was even coming close to layering and manipulating samples the way they were, and the density and paranoia of the beats fit Chuck D's flow perfectly. I wouldn't really compare it to Wu-tang though since gza's production style was completely different, if anything it was more akin to what dj premier was doing with gangstarr

My fav album is Fear of a Black Planet. I would recommend starting there for anyone.
