Wasn't there a unreleased aphex track on Mike.P's Xplo mix? or was it all by Monolith?

Yes, although it was from the legendary Caustic Window CAT023.

Yeah, that tune comes in right after the Monolith track right? But after that comes a IDM/TUSS Track sick as fuck!

You can hear those drums from synthacon 9.

Too lazy to dl and search that cat023, sample anyone ?

The unreleased Caustic Window Tune:

The mystic IDM/TUSS track right after Caustic Window:

um isn't that Tuss track the remix of sci-fi staircase? and if not I'm missing a track then can somebody direct me to the real remix

and somebody mentioned before that the Caustic Window track isn't well-produced enough to be RDJ, I'm guessing it was put through some kind of compression for the radio program to make it louder and they made it sound sort of ass that way? I mean the track itself sounds like him, it just doesn't sound good enough SOUNDICALLY for a CD

a lot of his first tracks do not sound good enough soundically for a cd... even richard's production skills grew more and more with the years. nobody's perfect!

Yeah but a track like Xtal just isnt meant to sound all crystal clear production wise. It sounds so melancholic with that deep bass and tape presence.

this is more what I meant, Xtal doesn't sound clear but it sounds very full and complete, or something

i see your point, but i also think tracks like xtal sound like this because of the equipment that was used. he did a lot with analogue and self-constructed stuff. he surely planned to do some deep ambient tracks, but i think he didn't say: "the track should sound exactly like this" at that time. he just did it and the result was nice!

anyways that tune sounds pretty much like the other caustic window rave tracks like "joyrex j4" or something. nothing special, though.

Also don't forget that SAW2 was probably recorded around the same time as SAW1. In terms of sound quality, there's some pretty old sounding stuff on there, a lot of distortion at times.

It's not all that relevant, I just wanted to be included

true but saw2 has more consistency in its sound. there are some tracks on saw1 that sound just butt ugly, especially the drums.
