Whoa whoa whoa wait, stop there, just remember that in certain parts of the world it is still actually illegal to listen to repetitive beats. I'd suggest you consult a solicitor before taking this advice. The Dark Lord
I'm cool with beats as long as they don't loop over and over and over. There's nothing wrong with beats that change every so often. Guest mutron3k
I would say don't think too hard about it. Just clear off the tune down to the beat and then using the same sounds try and make an intro, chorus section, alternate part, etc. Then unmute the rest or take it out of loop and hear how it goes with the original parts. Just putting in this extra effort will lead you to some kinda reward. The beat and same sounds will hold it together so it sounds like the same song but you can get more adventurous as try other things but that's beside the point right now. You'll and your fills, pull things in and out as usual at a later stage For polish, transpose, move some notes around, change notes in transition parts (going from one section to another), etc. It may be easiest to keep your number of drums and synths/sound sources well down so you can focus on the arrangement first, then bring back the rest. I know my tracks were repetitive (and sometimes reeked of that plasticy Sytrus sound that lingers in all n00by songs made with the program) when I had only been using it for 5 months.
