I'm waiting to see if Touch recorded that ensemble performing his classical piece at The Roundhouse. Dying to hear that.

"London Contemporary Orchestra, one of the UK’s youngest and most adventurous ensembles, make their Roundhouse debut.

Biosphere, aka Norwegian musician Geir Jenssen, has attracted a cult following for his ambient electronica – 'Shhoctavoski', his first piece for orchestra, is given its UK premiere with the Roundhouse Experimental Choir."

I've decided that "Too Fragile to Walk On" is Biosphere's most absolutely, perfectly crafted song.

Pretty much. It's also where I lose interest with him. Shenzhou and Autour De La Lune bore me so I gave up after them.

Did you listen to Dropsonde? It's half drone songs, half rhythmic jazz stuff.

is "Sphere of no form" on Substrata? I am on a big biosphere trip right now. listening to all the albums a lot lately, but i dont know track names. The albums with HIA are really good too. And people dont like Autaur de la Lune much but after hearing the bass on a big system, i love that one too, even more than some of the others. Still, Substrata is still the best.

Shenzhou, but it's more modern classical. Ten of the tracks are essentially reworks of Debussy.

I dunno.. maybe I'm trying to put jazz and ambient together and I am thinking of negative thoughts :P

Dropsonde is excellent, so shut your whore mouth.

Might be just a bit harsh, but come on now. "Jazz shit" was really uncalled for.

i was thinking the other day that Touch had some of the best artist around in ambient/electronic music during the 2000s : Fennesz, Biosphere, Oren Ambarchi, BJ Nilsen & Philip Jeck. no strictly ambient but fantastic artists.
