i recently finished playing through the grand campaign of victoria II. new game by paradox (devs of europa universalis/hearts of iron). even with the current balance issues (paradox is good with patches), it's the best strat game i've played.

this is incredible, warezed it, played for 10 hours straight. i'll probably buy it later.

just the amount of detail and control i always wanted for a strat game, im trying to make korea a "civilized nation" :) weird that neither china nor japan are trying to fuck with me at all, this part was more challenging in EU III.

victoria 2 is on hold until the patch it proper

t-minus 1 day for civ 5 !

im happy i got a completely free month to spend on it before the studies resume.

It's always been that way for the Civ games - windows version first, mac version usually 6 months later.

I can guess that chaos is loving Civ5 then. Anything you can put into words?

I'm going to have to wait (maybe another month) until I get a new laptop.

I was thinking about downloading the demo and trying it out in parallels, but I haven't had time.

the demo is 4 gb at steam, the (completely full and working) warez version is 3gb, awesome marketing.
