ooh great playlist, feeling a bit delicate this Monday morning so this should do nicely

Regarding the first artist on the list, Rrose, do check out their performance of Having Never Written a Note for Percussion, very lush

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

Hitoshi Kojo & Masayoshi Fujita have both created incredible sound worlds, well worth a dig

Gianluigi Gasparetti has an incredible catalog & rummaging thru other crap "Beyond the World of Sleep" popped up today, not heard for a while & forgot how sublime it is

(if its been listed on earlier pages it deserves another airing)

... anyone a fan of chilli hatakayama? just listened to a few clips, then googled to find he's one of those people that records a shed load of stuff, releases it all over the place in limited numbers, troublesome minefield of an artist.

Yes, Chihei is great! I've only heard a fraction of his output but what I have heard is amazing stuff... A Long Jouney, Ghostly Garden and Mist are some of my absolute fav ambient albums :

nice, i love ambient / drone like this.

for those who like that, try this out.  hakobune is one of my favorite ambient / drone artists:

Hakobune is capable of some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard, but there are so many and I find some of them less exciting, so I sort of stopped following him after a while. Amazing that it's all guitar-based, though.

Absolutely gorgeous album by Lammergeyer called Birds of Prey: https://dataobscura.bandcamp.com/album/birds-of-prey
