How do you pay someone?

i crumple up a bunch of three dollar bills and toss them at the cashier. then i take the toothpick out of my mouth and make some sort of snide comment about all of the money being there.

I hand them their money directly, using both hands. bills in one hand, coins in the other.

On an unrelated note I hate it when cashiers hand you money, coins on top of bills in a single hand, so as soon as it leaves their hand the coins drop all over the place! when cashiers try that I always have to explain to them.

i do a one hander even if it's a mix of cash and paper

sometimes i'll put the cash down if i'm in a somewhat of a hurry or it's a small ammount of money , like a couple bucks (coins for canada)

FUCK I KNOW!!! I hate when people do that, like you would think they would realize after 10 people in a row walk away while struggling with their precarious handful of money. God Damn, I always give coin first and then bills, doing it otherwise is just annoying for both people involved.

One time I went to a kebab shop somewhere in England, maybe London I don't know, at around 4 am and it was the smallest counter i've ever seen in my entire life. Maybe I was drunk, I don't know, but I felt like Andre the Giant.

That said, hand the money right to the person. Though I used to work as a toll collector and I sort of wish they had a tray to put the money in. Sometimes the money was wet, or pocket warm.

I noticed toll collectors wear latex gloves. Well, the ones at my local mega bridge do

Last night I bought some cookies a a local Polish deli/grocery. I had my gloves on so I took them off to pay. I handed the girl the cash and put my glove back on before she gave me my change. I then held outmy hand so she could just put the change in my hand and I could just put the change in my pocket and leave. So what does the bitch do? She puts the money on the fucking counter right next to my open hand. Now, because my gloves are back on, I'm trying to pick up all the little coins and shit off the counter like a fool. I ended up failing at that so then I had to take off my glove topick up all the fucking coins one by one. Bitch shoulda handed me the fucking change. Fuck Polish people.
