Seven Forty Seven

at first i didn't like it at all once it built up to the end and while listening to it at a loud volume, but then i listened to it at a very low volume and i started to hear more how they arranged the song and then gave it more appreciation. the song pretty good but it doesn't stand up to left side drive and left side drive and seven forty seven fall into the same catagory as the majority of whats on tch.

left side drive = lets get it on/slow sex

seven forty seven = tri repatae ae boc in stereo

Why there are two threads about drugs on boc subforum? (and they are new users) :trap:

And MDG locked one. And nobody's speculating or anything. Does this mean we've given up? Oh jeez.

Great stuff, man.

I really dig how everything's got it's own space in the mix.

(sorry, always thinking about production/mixing)

Thanks man, I would love to redo the remix with full quality samples. Believe it or not, the remix was done using 16kbps mp3s (yep - sixteen!) - I actually had to downsample everything else so that it would fit properly in the mix.

you should've upscaled them after you had finalised the track. high definition audio nulls, make it sound so much better

Wow, you're right: I've rerendered it at 32-bit/192kHz and it's now 473.6% better - Just call me (null) edmonds.

Unlocking this thread (no idea why it was locked in the first place) just to add that I've only just noticed that 'You could feel the sky' too has the 'take my hand' female vocal from seven forty seven near the end, albeit processed slightly differently

I'd have to listen again to remember my initial reaction, but I think I preferred 33rpm because I had more time to absorb what was going on in the track.

does anyone else prefer to listen to Seven Forty Seven at 45 RPM rather than 33? i never experiment with different speeds if i know what it's meant to be played at, but this song just sounds so much better to me at 45.

it's definitely meant to be played at 33rpm, as per the original time indexes provided by Warp.

I personally hardly listen to it, but when I do, it's at 33rpm.

aye, i agree that 33 is definitely correct. it just feels too slow for me at that speed for some reason, whereas at 45 it has a nice pace and clicks with some of their other more upbeat tracks like Happy Cycling or Orange Romeda.

Ooh my bad, I've listened to the 'final' version so little and the demo version on the old BoC website so much I assumed it was in there. Looks like someone's taken a recording of them playing it, you can here the 'take my hand' sample on here

is there a higher quality version of the demo version somewhere?

also, i dig the vocal sample a lot. it fits the song perfectly. it really does take you somewhere different.

Unfortunately I think that's the highest quality that exists (as that's a Youtube trancode technically the highest quality would be from the site itself - http://www.atomless.com/projects/boc/site/ N.B. Needs Shockwave Player - http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ )

Yeah I think the demo version has a far darker and sleazier atmosphere (which I definitely prefer) than the one we ended with which was far more of a freeform psychedelic freakout.

i like both, i think they complement each other well. reminds me sorta of tool's parabol and parabola. i'm sad that boc didn't release the demo as well.

hah, what am i saying. boc releasing music? that's the stuff of legends.
