There is a collection entitled 'EMS Recombination' floating around the web. A four disc set that features absolutely everything.

Either Rachel's song or i really like the second part of Heaven and Hell. The version I have is split in to too halfs.

watched Chariots of Fire last month, man what a brillant soundtrack! then came to realize he did the Cosmos scores, then found some other random beautiful songs, my god, HE IS A MUSIC ANGEL SENT TO SOOTHE THIS DAMAGED WORLD, GOD BLESS VANGELIS!!!

I've only heard Blade Runner and Antartica. So I'm not that familiar with his catalogue.

What else has he done that's very synth heavy?

Can't post a Youtube video, but my vote is for "Reve" from Opera Sauvage. I always feel like I am in a 1980s futuristic romantic drama when I listen to that song. So beautiful. I should watch the movie that this was made for sometime to see if it matches my visualizations.

...and Heaven and Hell is weird man! I went in expecting Cosmos type stuff and and fucking rock opera came on! What!

Certainly Vangelis' most badass underground release (although not the best actual music of his) is his soundtrack to the neurology instructional videos. For something good to sit down and listen to though, you still can't beat the Blade Runner soundtrack.

Vangelis does synthpop and sings about VCFs, VCOs, EQs and patchbays.

he's done a lot of obscure soundtrack work which i'm just discovering now (a lot of educational and nature documentaries). I'll post the names when i get a chance.

I love Blade Runner & L'apocalypse des animau but really don't like Albedo..
