Fred, have you ever read Augustine's Confessions? I am teaching it this quarter; never read it before, and it's giving me a whole new insight into the crossover from Greek religion to Christianity.

I'm not a 'practising' catholic by any means but I figured it would be nice (and hard) to give up buying drinks when going out (to clubs that is), cause i do that excessively and its actually one of the main reasons I'm constantly broke lol.

Augustine was an epic philanderer in his day. Kind of nice to get a glimpse of honesty from a notable figure from that period amidst the countless stories of unwavering piety. That being said, I found the Confessions to be a bit of a challenge to get through.
