It's more out of habit. It's not like I get hungry for boogers or say "What's for lunch? Boogers!". I just don't really think about it until I've gone and done it.

i once caught a friend who was in the act of eating a booger. he picked his nose, looked at his finger and observed the booger, then ate it. i stood up, pointed at him and yelled HAHAAAAAAAAAAA!
