yep.....

so much....

too much....

I know, it's always so overwhelming. In the past, I always just went to the free shows...they're still worthwhile, it's all the same artists and you bump into hung over famous people. I'm volunteering this year though, so at least I'll have a badge to catch the Warp, Ninja Tune, and a couple of the dubstep showcases.

for anyone going to SXSW, In The Nursery are doing a live soundtrack to the silent film The Passion of Joan of Arc and fuck i would love to go, but betting badges will fill it up (i'm sure they will pick a small theater for this one). still, once in a lifetime.

I don't ever want to drive that far again. Gotta work tomorrow at 8 am after driving to Michigan-->flying back to nc-->packing-->driving to san antonio over the past 6 days.

Srsly we need airplane ferrys for cars that are included in air travel tickets.

Also fuuuuuuuuuu Houston. Closing the main highway through the city. 1 lane road and then spit me out onto some other random highway.

People drive really fast here. The road between Houston and San Antonio is a straight shot at 70mph speed limit. I was going about 80. People were flying past me.

This place is huge.

sad I missed some sxsw stuff, I'm certainly not going up there tonight for Perez Hiltons party (lol). Although it would be cool to see snoop, but no one else on that bill.

chicken strips, toast, fries, and a little container of white gravy. dip everything in it. save fries for last and alternate ketchup and gravy dips.

of course the burgers are good too

edit: yes you can get a license to carry a concealed handgun. i'm not sure about the rules.. if it can be out if it's holstered or what.. it's very easy to get the license, my stepdad has one

Lol...this is so true. People do drive fast as hell for the most part down there. Such a shock when I moved to Seattle. And it's a damn good thing the speed limits are higher on the highway between the big cities. Still, 70 is nothing.

And Houston freeway construction will NEVER end. It SUCKS.

I did exactly this. Chicken was glorious, as was the toast and gravy really makes it all. Fries were kinda soggy but really i didn't even need em. Thx for the recommendation. I likely would've just gotten a burger otherwise. :cisfor:

Traffic on I-35 in the mornings is complete hell :(

I need to brush up on my snake identification. There's a lot of them here. This job I am on is already getting a lot of press. Means more interruptions of me having to tell people to go away. Wooooo.

So I just had Jack In the box for the first time. Swiss burger w/ bacon and cheese sticks ftw!

Also...

I just discovered Mexican Ska music on the radio. I think I'm in love.

I mean, Tejano is a pretty broad term. Sure it's Tejano. But it sounded exactly like a ska band but singing in Spanish. SO to me, now and forever, it is Mexican Ska. Even if they are tex-mexes.

When my best friend and I used to drive around on acid back in the day laughing our balls off we'd cruise through the shopping strip where our "home base" was and if the Mexicans were out powerwashing the sidewalks we'd blast Tejano as we drove by all crazy.

Looking back I feel like such a racist.

My god, I just remembered a bunch of other good times. I want my youth back.
