I have no idea why it's called Common sense - hardly anyone has it these days for it to be considered "common".

Have you considered whether your perception of society's lack of common sense is due to sample error? Perhaps your data points do not accurately represent the population.

We do need a lot more of science, but pieces like posted are not helping anyone.

I don't think IQ should be the sole factor behind "intelligence" - there are a lot of really, really "smart" people that have absolutely no common sense or practical life skills.

OK. Was just making sure that you weren't introducing bias into your research. That could really discredit you as a social scientist.
