I downgraded because everybody recommends using XP instead of Vista. hmm that kinda sounds a bit dodgy - the upgrade to Windows 7 shouldn't cost anything extra, so there's no reason to not include the option. had i been there with you when you made the purchase, i certainly would've brought this up. i hate seeing people being ripped off :-s Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide oscillik's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/54071-hey-pc-users/page/2/#findComment-1263207 Share on other sites
Guest the anonymous forumite
well that really doesn't sound like a problem to me since you can get it on the internet. + whether I have Xp, Vista or 7, I should be getting sound properly working. ALSO: I reinstalled the drivers again and it appears a so-called MODEM Driver install failed. Does this have anything to do with sound ? Does this have anything to do with sound ? well actually, if you were running Windows Vista or Windows 7, the operating system would probably have drivers built in (as in, drivers supplied by Microsoft) and if not, it would be a very simple thing to get sorted since the Windows Update is a lot better at finding device drivers. As you'd already stated earlier on in the thread, the sound was working when the machine ran Vista so there is definitely not a hardware problem.
