THATS HOW U NO U GOD WHEN YOU GOTA MODEL AND SHE THROW UP ON YO DICK BECAUSE ITS SO BIG AND YOUR IN A LIMO GOING TO A LIL B CONCERT - Lil B

I just need to mention some tracks from Analogue Bubblebath 1 and 2. Analogue Bubblebath, Isopropophlex and Digeridoo (The Aboriginal Mix) pretty much also appear on Classics, so I'll just do the remaining four tracks:

Entrance To Exit - This is such a manic track! I love how Rich and Tom manage to express so much energy in this music, it has a strong air of something grand, something extreme, something powerful. I love the noises that start at 0:42, to me they sound like alarms. Sheer awesomeness throughout.

AFX2 - Sounds like an even trickier version of Isopropophlex at first. It continues with some bleep-beep-de-beep noises that take some getting used to. But after a while, a wonderful feeling grows out of it, as the oriental lullaby begins around three minutes in. I can get so relaxed while listening to this...

AB2 track B1 - Oh I love these B-side tracks. This sounds like some of the earlier, less restrained stuff. Again, he manages to create a wonderful feeling of energy and power. Great for rocking to!

AB2 track B2 - I'm not quite as fond of this track, but I still enjoy it. It's notably messier and noisier, but I like that. Thumping and squelching with its relentless melodies and low thuds. It's almost like a dark, mutated version of Analogue Bubblebath found in some industrial scrapyard.

Lovely stuff.

Hey, going through this week by week thing to introduce myself to Aphex beyond the SAWs and the RDJ Album.

The main thing about these tracks are their insane lengths - most could have been shorter. I like Digeridoo, Flaphead, Polynomial-C, Isopropophlex/Isopropanol and Analogue Bubblebath 1 (song). Very cool stuff indeed. It's surprising that this is the type of stuff he made whilst working on SAW.

Ok, I lied...Polynomial-C is the best track on Classics, Dodecaheedron is second :music:

And yeah, it's nuts to think of him producing such hardcore stuff as this while SAW85-92 was being put together

AB - Immediately epic. I'm not too overly keen on the stab melody that comes in around 1:15, but it's tolerable. The transition around 2:45 is sick, with all the reversed shits and what have you. When, the stab melody reprises, it sounds better with that newer melody that comes in to accompany it. The last second drop is also nice.

Isopropophlex - May be my favorite of the early early. Love to drop this in DJ sets as well. It sounds HUGE to me, and on a decent setup BANGS. I love the clap hits where he turns up the reverb, just for one of them. A great technique that is still heard all over the tusssss. The breakdown on this is so great and appropriate. Anyone who thinks it breaks the flow is an idiot. Idiot.

Entrance to Exit - I've never really been to keen on this for some reason. I mean it's OK, but I rarely ever have the urge to hear it.

AFX 2 - I'm just going to, for my own piece of mind, that this is a reworking of Isopropophlex at the very base level. It's solid. A bit long maybe, but solid.

Digeridoo - Yes yes I remember smoking herb as a younger person and just trancing the hell out to this jam. I remember liking the fact that the digeridoo wasn't sampled (supposedly). The squawk and hoot that comes in is haunting i loves it loves it. I could definitely see this making people go mad on the shores of cornwall back in the day.

1 - This isn't jaw to the floor amazing or anything but it's still good. It doesn't go on for too long, which is wise in this case. The degraded production most definitely adds to its listenability.

2 - Fuck yeah. That FUCKED acid line is DISGUSTING. Such a banger. Simple, but goddamn groovy. Those odd "fuckups" around 2:30 and occasionally thereafter are mad.
