I enjoy the fragility of the rolling lol tbh. The broken lol is like our own mortality staring us in the face, reminding us to enjoy that sunset.

now that i stopped eating meat, it's cheaper to cook and more expensive to eat out. it balances out but wtf.

where do you find you protien? i've been very skeptical but curious about getting off the blood train.

i haven't looked a lot of it up - but chickpeas, beans, cheese/dairy i would guess. (don't like soy products.) i used to eat tons of protein (in meat form) and now i probably eat a lot less. there was an adjustment period of about a month where my body wasn't sure what i was doing, but i feel good now. the meat i eat now and then tastes less and less good.

i stopped eating it because i stopped enjoying it. i know lots of people who really love meat and i encourage them to keep eating it. i guess it's the same with quitting smoking and anything else. you have to want it.

thanks for your perspective. i will probably go after the indian style diet. chickpeas, beans and other veg, with a backing of vitamin packets. potato(e)s too. might dwell in whitefish purgatory as well.

I mean, concentration camp survivors, people in Third World countries and people who eat institutional food at cafeterias have/are eating what that article prescribes--especially how that one woman got her weekly bill down to $8.00. The problem is, do you want to live like that? I understand many don't have a choice and it's tragic because I promise the next war won't be over oil but food. But if you can spare the pence or bits, it's not like you're buying 16 oz. New York strips everyday.

When they say to substitute generics...that's a fail in some cases. If you stand a delicious bowl of Cap'n Crunch Berries up against Malt-O-Meal's Chinese Melamine "Pirate's Plums" cereal ( :spiteful: ), there is no contest. I know that there can be up to a $2 difference but...fuck, man, Crunch Berries. Not xylene durian extract bound with shredded silicon.

Easily the best slogan ever. "Crunch-a-tize me, Cap'n!" (!? :pedobear::emotawesomepm9: )

The thing in this post that brought me closest to vomiting was "durian."
