well, i got nothing out of that 800mg trip, but the 400mg ones still tend to pay off.

the differences in the way you hear sounds makes it a lot of fun to work on music. i come up with a lot of strange things i otherwise wouldn't. it's good for writing my silly nonsense that i write, and making stupid videos for youtube. it does things i have not had any other drug do (loosen the mind/body connection, weird visual shit) and i enjoy mucking about with the weird effects.

it rarely results in anything of grand significance -- just a relaxed afternoon working on creative bits and bobs. however, i've had some really intense things at times. once, i had a vision of how my life could go over the next few years... not in the sense that i was seeing the future, just one potential path i could choose. it was intensely inspiring! that was unusual, though.

a puff of weed axes the nausea. if you use the right preparation (fuck gelcaps, fuck syrup, fuck polystyrene) the body load tends to be miles better....

edit: nothing has ever triggered ego death. not dxm, not 4 hits of acid... guess i'm a tough nut to crack.

i would also like to add i found DXM ideal for calibrating my monitors. subtle differences in speaker placement and EQ leaped right out.

that's pretty awesome. you weren't like "what the hell was i thinking, i cut everything above 6khz" once you came down from the DXM?

i'd been kind of futzing with it for a few weeks, got annoyed because i couldn't quite sort it out. the sub has been particularly problematic, bass alternately boomy than not having enough balls. the satellites have 3-band EQ, the sub has phase reverse and a switch to cut <75hz to satellites. the sub has its own volume control, and has a knob for cutoff (20-150hz). in short, a lot of obscure little settings that play off each other in subtle ways. should i reverse the phase of the sub? should i cut the bass going to satellites and just let the sub handle it? what frequency, volume should i set the sub at? should i bother with the satellites' EQ?

i found myself fiddling with it on DXM. 45 minutes and i had it more or less sorted. later, sober, i realized i cranked the bass a bit too much, but i turned it down and it's been gravy since.

i originally viewed this thread as an opportunity to ramble about a topic that interests me (drugs) but now i'm kind of irritated by the direction it's taking.

i like my intoxicants, but i'm not suicidal. for me, it's more about enjoying myself and experiencing new things. if you're suicidal and intent on breaking yourself with drugs, please keep it off watmm. i don't like the smell

I'm not sure how to answer that question. My anxiety was chewing me up inside, so I got really, REALLY drunk and then ate some anxiolitics. I don't remember my mindset, so I don't know if those were my intentions.

Needless to say, I'm getting my anxiety problems checked out ASAP.
