After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

people who have the patience for idm should have the patience for fallout. I don't get it. But then, I love rpgs.

yeah we weren't invited to help out on New Vegas and I'm not sure why, they used us for concept art but not 3D this time around. Really bummed me out.We are working on the sequel to another Bethsoft IP tho. :whistling:

Just answer me this, have you modelled a mudcrab recently? Horrible creatures.

yes! mudcrabs, well-known as monsters in the BLOBLIVI... i have to go now, there are some men knocking on my door.

Fallout 3 is overrated

agreed, just couldn't get into it at all; bland, tedious, uninteresting combat system, etc.

it takes more than an expansive environment to explore and a kajillion side-quests to make up for such an uninspired and dull game design. shame, really, as the concept has lots of potential.

I don't know if you want to stick to 360 (or ps3?) games but it's a crime to not play through Fallout 1+2. Planescape: Torment and Arcanum are fantastic games too. They're old so you'll have no problem running them. Out of the lot I've probably sunk the most time into Arcanum. I think you can play it your own way even more so than Fallout. It doesn't look great and it isn't post-apocalyptic, but still it has a very interesting story and setting. There are so many mysteries to solve, places and people to check out and genuinely compelling quests that it'll keep you going for weeks, then you'll probably uncover more when you come back to it with a new character. Also the music is perfect.

Bought this last year. Spent an hour or so screwing around while trying to get out of the vault. Finally did it and got bored and left the game for a couple of months until a day or two ago. Popped in the disc, installed the update it wanted, started off from my save game and played an two or three more hours into it only to find I can't save my game. The patch nuked my old save game. There is meant to be some way around it but I already lost my progress for that session.

Regardless of that it seems alright.. Just wanted to drop in and say I think its a pretty overrated game and the fanboys should kill themselves or let me in on the secret to enjoying this. Same with Arrested Development

the dialogue in it was a bit shit, then again it didn't really matter cause if anyone pissed me off in game i would just headshots them

and the expansions too.. they should have announced them ahead of time because i would constantly uninstall and then fuck.. a month later

Yeah, it's overrated. After a while everything is the same, all the monsters are the same, nothing is exciting any more. Fallout 1 and 2 were awesome games, Fallout 3 is just sort of a Fallout-inspired game.

I don't really want to even play New Vegas because I hate Las Vegas haha. I don't want to see it in my computer.

I'm curious how many of you guys who didn't like it consider yourselves fans of the post-apocalyptic genre.

I really liked Fallout 3, gameplay mechanics especially but if you're looking for something with that post-apocalyptic vibe in all seriousness you should check out S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which is made by a Ukrainian developer. you're a tarkovsky fan.. so just do it

i was crazy about stalker when they were first hyping it, but then all their claims about an unbroken game world, revolutionary AI etc turned out either not to be true, or had to be scaled back...also heard about bugs...were the original or clear sky worth playing?

yeaaah, gotta admit the hype was a bit excessive on this one, but I would check out shadow of chernobyl first and just enjoy it for what it is.if you do remember to grab this http://stalker.filefront.com/file/Float_32_Mod;101327 as it really helps with performance

clear sky was alright, and the latest was a fun ride and had less bugs on release then the previous two

i am a die-hard fan of dystopic settings in games, movies and books, also: fallout 1 and 2. the stalker series (all 3 of the games) beat the crap out of bethesdas boring dumbed-down consolero-appealing un-immersive piece of crap game. it was kinda fun, but i dont want to replay it. and i did most of the interesting side quests on my first run... how did they manage to leave me so absolutely unaffected by what happens to the main figures having all those fancy graphics and a massive budget? remember planescape:torment? damn, i was immersed in that game, i felt the pain of the main figures... and i am absolutely entitled to compare one rpg to another (to all those people saying you cannot). heck, even diablo had a tighter story than fo3.

edit: stalker has its bugs fixed, even the ones on "call of pripyat" (best part of the series; also, improve your gaming experience with stalker:shoc by downloading kanyhalos' mod "oblivion lost" x1000)

Metro 2033 seems ok so far. It's impressive looking but you don't seem to be able to deviate from the set path and do what you fancy. I don't have much of a problem with that since it's based on a novel and hopefully won't have a story as laughable as other shooters. I'm trying to complete the first Stalker game before I really get into it but I'm close to giving up in frustration again due to Stalker's wonkiness.

i mean, i think gaming is at a strange crossroads where multiplayer is 90% of the market, or so it would seem....developers trying to create more of an immersive and perhaps even "intellectual" experience (complex plots, moral choices, etc etc) that can compete against multiplayer games....but i could be waaaaaay off there.

yeah its really disturbing to me for many reasons, one of which is it saw the literal death of arcade game playing at least in the United States. I think in Japan arcades are still very popular but i doubt they are anywhere else. multiplayer gaming being 90% of the market in a big way has killed most of the fun of videogames.

Tried playing Street fighter IV over multiplayer and it was just not very fun, id much rather play with real friends or in an arcade with the smell of freshly baked pizza

i miss the days when games were not about experience points, trophies, or unlocking shit on games. I want a game genie for most new videogames because i just find them too fucking boring to play the required allotted time to progress.

How is the single-player aspect of Borderlands compared to Fallout 3?
