as deeply fucked GR is, it actually has some really touching and beautiful layers.

roger and jessica's is a melancholy relationship that brings a touchingly normal current amidst the bomb-filled novel. slothrop's transformation is mysterious and compelling while absolutely hilarious throughout.

and that ending, holy fuck did the weight of the novel hit me at the end.
