haha. i will report back at the end of may with a full report and hopefully some pics.

i was hoping to rent a jeep or convertible. but am second guessing that. it may be hot, but not super hot. i dont know.

also, do you guys recommend doing one of those guided jeep tours of the canyon or doing it on our own?

I recommend hiking it on your own a bit. Bring plenty of water though. My dad started following a dot that appeared in his vision due to dehydration near the end of our 5 hour hike. Watch out for rattlesnakes too, we almost stepped on one.

i sorta breezed oer the thread so apologies, but if you are in sedona, hit up the pink jeep tours....a lot of fun...plus plenty of time to explore yourself.

i been to these places, in sedona there is or was (it was nealy 10 years ago i was there) an amazing ghost town with a abandoned asylym on the top of the hill which they made into a hotel but they still have all the medical rooms untocuhed, also there was a natural water park around there too. forget the name i had good times when i was there

it was jerome, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerome,_Arizona Extreme cow-boy territory

that town was jerome, which is also where the caduceus tasting room is. the whole town is cool as hell and there is a lot of strange things there. we ate at the asylum. i had prickly pear bbq pork tenderloin with tomatillo salsa, mashed potatoes & broccoli. the wife had roast maple leaf duck breast over organic short grain brown rice, fruit salsa,

cilantro, kal-bi sauce & shoe string potatoes. it was in the top 3 dinners of our trip

The caduceus tasting room was cool. Much smaller than I expected but tastefully decorated with exposed brick. Did 2 flights in which every wine was good to awesome. My fav was the kitsune. Bought a bottle of that and a few tshirts. Also hit up page springs and Arizona stronghold as well. Had lunch with Maynard and he gave me an advance copy of some new tool tracks as long as I don't post it online but I had to fondle his balls and tell him he was god. Ok that part didn't happen but I thought it was possible
