i got back from florida today. my first visit to the states. i was massively impressed with the food.

a week in florida and im probably 10-15lb heavier. finally got to try the blooming onion and it was every bit as amazing as i knew it would be.

I would seriously stay away from Red Lobster. Every time I've eaten there, I've gotten the runs.

To me, there is nothing sketchier than D-grade seafood.

I usually make it a point to avoid Taco Bell, too. I can't trust a place that uses ice-cream scoopers for it's meat.

Wendy's and IHOP rock my face, however.

ihop is quite good

they make the best omelets

half the fun of taco bell is how disgusting your farts and poops become most of time as a result. love me some taco bell

a good friend of mine is batty for IHOP and convinced me to go once, against my better judgement. the whole goddamn establishment was sticky -- coated in a glaze of flavored maple syrup. i had to take a shower once i got home. when it comes to all-day breakfast, i prefer denny's.

wendy's and outback -- sure let's go.

taco bell -- i'm not big on mexican food. if i'm going to make myself fat, i prefer a cheeseburger. if i want a taco, i cook it myself

red lobster -- i like seafood even less than mexican. rather stay home and have a tuna sandwich

Only good thing for Red Lobster is their crazy rolls. As a young person you go there, eat a ton of roll and leave before ordering any thing.

mighty taco is where it's at. those are only in western NY though.

they make a burrito with 3 cheeses and nachos and beef and sour cream and it tastes like a delicious heart attack.

also sonic is fantastic but those are only in certain areas.

i really Really feel for people who don't have easy access to good authentic mexican food (including late night). taco bell just really can't even begin to compare. i would hate leaving chicago for this very reason

That dog + burrito seems like a wonderful thing, until you think of the cleanup phase.

Taco Bell used to be pretty great for empty crap food, but they've actually kind of gone downhill into legitimately terrible lately. I could just be jaded though, because I can get legitimate delicious street-food Mexican tacos from any given corner in LA for about $.75 a pop. It's the only good thing about LA, basically.

i actually left chicago to move back to texas because the mexican food in chicago was so bad

wow, you just listed five places I missed the least during my recent trip to london

ihop is a viable option only if you have a hangover and can't find a real cafe/bistro; the rest are pure shit

but seriously? i can only go for about a week before i start to crave al pastor tacos. the only mexican i've had in texas was tex-mex which was definitely awesome as well but different.

Despite a sizable enough Mexican American population, Oregon can't get close to touching Southern California for Mexican food.
