first i want to thank everyone very much for taking the time to do this. there were lots of interesting submissions that won't be on the comp but they are by no means not quality tracks. but i think this final tracklisting makes a lot of sense and sounds like a cohesive album. so anyway, in the rough but not final track order, here are the tracks that will be on the compilation (p.s. i dont have artist names or correct artist names for some of them so hopefully you can read this and get in touch with me or i'll be able to track you down):

Anonymous Collaboration - Looping at Speed of Light

Adjective - CERN_CCTV

Goffer - Particle AR Afro Spunk Ball

Lester Rookfoot - Fundamental Questions

Lights Set North - Strangelet

Macca - The Ascension (new)

Mr Hamilton - Antigravity

Namely Major Lens - Dungeness

Cyrptowen - Lambent Vector

? - Rifinal

Cubus - ?

Braintree - higgs loops

Vammos Scorcho - Through the Room

so if you have been selected please get in touch with me and let me know your finalized artist name and track name and provide a wav version or your song if possible. my email is freshmouse at gmail dot com

and if you didnt make the comp, i humbly thank you again for participating and encourage you to submit again in future compilations.

you guys are going to like this comp!

thanks

fred

i'll revisit this mid-nextweek when i return from my trip and see who i still need to get in touch with.

I would love to hear everyones track who didn't make it, I know for the Black Hole comp, Zazen made a free release of tracks that weren't chosen called Infinite Suck (lol). If I was any good at organizing, I would try my hand at that. But please link your track or let me know if you put it on a release, I am a fan of most of the music around these parts and it would make me happy to hear it. :braindance:

Also I was OCD about whether I'd make it on the tracklist or not, I am still in shock that I did. I missed out on DSC (yeah I am a procrastinator sometimes), and my track didn't get chosen for Black Holes, so third times a charm I guess. I didn't submit for Antarctica, but wish I did. I look forward to hearing the final release, it looks fucking amazing.

My track's still wicked, so I may plan a release around it, I dunno.

yeah you should. your track was great, but it's just that the feel of this comp is decidedly not-breakbeaty at all.

YES!

deep down i was hoping that mine didn't make it since i had some other ideas and plans for it... can't wait for this to hit the streets!

I knew mine wouldnt get in but that set list has some solid peeps. Looking forward to hearing this.

Will people post their entries(that didnt make it) to this thread? I will but I like I'll post the cleaner edit I made after the deadline

i just need to say that i am absolutely humbled by the collection of tracks that were submitted. we've done this 4 times now and i've never felt this way before; usually it's a pissload of wonky amateur bullshit with an at best 8 or 9 quality trakcs, but you guys fucking killed it. even with my pesronal bias i couldnt allow my own track to be on the comp with you guys. as a whole, i found the material that was submitted to be nothing short of inspiring. really. bravo. i'm surprised, impressed, and proud to be able to have the opportunity to choose among so much quality. this is a step forward and i'm so thankful for that. at the same time it has pretty much made me seal the deal on my retirement from music making. you kids these days are way too crafty and awesome. fucking cheers. and fucking thanks. honestly dudes, this comp sounds so beautiful, i get weepy. i would pay 20 bucks any day for this album, and i cant wait for you all to hear it. soon enough....

whatever, i should pee in your butt for that. if you feel you're at some sort of lull or ceiling creatively, another feeling should be creeping in, a sense of freedom to follow through any crazy, ridiculous, far-fetched song idea. you're in "fuck it" country. this is experimental beak territory you've stumbled into, don't squander it. don't say "fuck it" and stop, say "fuck it" and keep going, yo!

don't stop making music if you enjoy it, love it, or anything it. just do what you want.

but also, i agree. we are the next wave.

you are all my enemies.

yes! i didn't pester h0l for no quitter. is it even possible to completely quit? i can't control my urge to make bad art and 40 second mp3s that aren't worth sharing. if i put everything on pause for a few months i'll be asking myself "what the hell i was thinking?" as i reinstall whatever application. for me it isn't technical virtuosity, production skills, musical know how or any of that razzmatazz (not that you are lacking). it's the emotion and artist's unique voice coming through their sounds.

still, looking forward to the album :wang:
