ITV are terrible, but I'll bet that will have been the most interesting debate of the three.

I can't imagine that Sky's viewing figures will come anywhere near, and the candidates will know that. The BBC should have some better luck as it'll be the last chance, but nothing will come close to the novelty and 'water-cooler' treatment the first has received.

I think the format is going to stay.

lib dems looks like they'll share power with the tories, if those being swayed by the tv debates go out to vote, that is.

if he goes from strength to strength, the tories may even be in the junior position in a coalition.... fuck...

you'll be in the same position as quite a few people, i suspect - if there's a number on the website, try calling that and explaining your situation, they might be able to help.

my sister's stuck in florida, and she's actually complaining that she might miss her exams. fucking idiot.

Yeah, I'm a little unsure as to how the registration date works.

You can enter some information on the site, but it only transfers it onto a printable application that needs to be sent. I'd assume the information is stored somewhere, but I think they need a signature for confirmation.

It may be possible to fax the application to them if you email them to ask. But they're probably pretty busy, so I don't know.

yes....i'm kind of surprised that is hasn't happened before, to be honest...

but surely you'll have "extenuating circumstances" and be able to do the exams at a later date?

according to the polls the swing to the lib dems has been about 10%, and it's stayed like that since friday or so. i'm not sure if that's swing in the proper sense though. i have a feeling a lot of lib dem voters are those who couldnt be bothered before.

i think the next debates are on foreign affairs and all that, pulling in less interest i guess. still if clegg does well again i can see the other parties shitting themselves even more than they are already. the tories have already hastily changed their promo video from attacking labour to asking for a clear majority, heh.

got an email from me local authority informing me that i will be unable to register to vote due to my bullshit circumstance. what the fuck, i've just been disenfranchised. as have my family apparently, although that's through them not paying attention. that's 3 votes the LibDems are losing out on :(

Have a passing interest in it. The emergence of the Lib Dems is a bit exciting, in the way that the SDP were gonna be a force for change until the Falklands saw MT swept back in. But can anyone tell me what the Lib Dems actually stand for in 20 words or less? Are they right wing or can they be pigeon holed as left or right? I would have thought an election in the UK or here in Ireland would see more hardline left wingers get in in urban areas anyway, maybe socialists getting a few seats. It seems bizarre that some public schoolboy like Clegg could become the figurehead for the anti authority vote, but it seems at this remove that that is what's happening.

Well if Gordon Brown hadn't lost it before he certainly has now. Bit of a shame, although pretty funny too! http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2010/apr/28/gordon-brown-bigoted-woman

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

That woman was kind of a bigot , misinformed thanks to tory propaganda.

Also , the PM and MPs should be able to insult people without consequences , stupid society.

Why has he lost it? I'ld say the majority of people are fair minded, regardless of what the tories, the daily mail and the bnp would have us believe.

Thought these videos were good on how a bigot is meant to be treated, http://martinburns.posterous.com/dear-gordon-if-you-meet-a-bigot-in-the-street. Sorry dont know how to embed flash, so youll have to click.

hmm the guardian have ditched labour and started supporting the lib dems. what do you think? think it will change anything?

i'm tempted to think guardian readers will already vote lib dem. but last election so many labour supporters just didnt bother to vote. so i dunno.

seems exciting anyway.
