I dunno man, Rusko, Skream, along these lines. I actually like this stuff, i'm not trying to be dismissive, but it's not the most cerebral of musics and it's quite accessible stuff.

Anyways my point wasn't to shit on anyone's parade, more that it's fishy that celebrities seem to think the dubstep begins and ends with C&S.

I think they've done a lot more than one dubstep track, unless everyone always plays the same one and I never notice. A load of drum & bassers have made this lucrative BPM switch, Breakage and Black Sun Empire come to mind. It all tends to come out fairly similar.

I don't want to completely write off the genre but the problem are the people who just exist entirely within its strictest boundaries because that is just painting by numbers

I dunno about that, but C&S is not something i'd play to someone if they requested that i get them into dubstep.

ugh i mentioned going to a dub gig to a mate of mine and ever since he's been saying "yeah we should deffo go and see some more dubstep". and my housemate heard some dubstep on the radio and was like "ahh wicked i haven't heard any dub in ages"
