Cryptowen
^There are a few free spectrogram making programs I've used in the past (can't remember the names off hand, but I have them on my home computer). Basically, they work by taking an image file & converting it to a wav (each one is different, but most of them will have that distinctive spectral sound. If you don't know what I mean by that think of the weird noises in the second track from the Windowlicker EP). Then you can use that sound in a song like you would any other sample, & it will show up as the original image when you convert the whole thing into a spectrograph (keep in mind that modifying the sample will effect how the image looks, & other instruments could overlap parts of it). The trick is getting the noise to work in the context of the song so it doesn't sound like LOL TECHNO BACKMASKING.
