I still like it better than TV. even if TV is more/less shit it doesn't matter to me, it's more satisfying knowing you could find something unshitty. I have some hope that eventually it will teach good LIFE SKILL as far as making the most of your time/assessing whether something is shit or not when it's literally countless things to choose from, not like choosing between 2 or 3 movies at the theater, a couple of TV channels etc. to me everything else in life aside from the internet is a handful of choices between something that's total shit and something that's possibly less shit (including politics lol high five)

and yeah definitely not everything is on the internet, I know that from searching for samples. Like this awesome commercial I heard on the radio for Tinnitus medication. There were a couple of articles /about/ the commercial/product, but no clip of the commercial as an audiovisual aid sort of thing. It still sort of blew my mind though because there are so many THINGS and yet this can't even be found at some shitty quality, in no form on the internet whatsoever

but um anybody else have a problem where you needed a scan of a book and couldn't find it online? lol everything is on the internet unless it's something useful like books (and twilight doesn't count I could see that sort of thing on bittorrent pretty easy)

It's true that both a lot of people are still "off-line" and a lot of literature also. At least that's my experience, internet still gets only mainstream material, lots and lots of stuff is still "out there". I'm fine with that too.

I agree with that ...at all, it´s quite simple...

...for me, internet will always be the same thing that it was in the beginning... a simple tool for exchanging scientific ideas (with some net-gaming added on top of it ). Other great advantages of internet for me is the communication itself plus its great possibilities for art exchange which are improving rapidly every year..

the internet is awesome. most of my communication is through it. i get weed through it. i get all music through it, i share all music through it. this guy just made a website complaining about sites like his, thanks for the extra trash guy.

to me (and many others) the medium is the message and that is the most amazing thing about the internet's potential. so much better than other communication/entertainment mediums.

so to conclude: the internet is shit is shit.

the internet is great and i always hated libraries. Everything I wanted was always checked out, had to write down annoying dewey decimal sequences and then browse floors of musty stacks where pedos lurked. No thanks.

Ok here's the thing: you chose what you look at on the internet.

If all your time on the internet is on shitty things, it's because you're choosing to do so. If it was a magazine or a television station, it could be their fault for sending you a shitty stream of information/entertainment, (though you should just switch channels or read a different magazine). With the internet though, if you chose to take something as truth or something as having supposed to be entertaining, it's because you chose to do so. I don't know why any one can be real angry or pointing fingers at other people because they have a hard time finding the knowledge they'd prefer to find. I mean it's like getting mad at books because you read a single bad one. (or continued to read shitty sci-fi or romance novels or some shit)
