I love Hey Mr. Tree. I really dig the direction he's been going in since foley room... moving away from jazz and getting all dirty and synthy. Everyone has to check out Two Fingers from 2009. Super similar to this track and the rap is half decent. If you don't care for the vox you can get an instrumental version on his website, too.

Two Fingers is a collaboration he did with a rapper named Sway, by the way.

I really like the instrumental release. Haven't heard the full original version because the vocals in the sound clips I've heard don't appeal to me at all. Maybe one day.

The instrumental version is quite nice. I enjoy his new stuff, but Permutation, Supermodified, and OFOW all still blow my mind.

i hate dubstep, and i like this song, but i hope his next album is more varied. a whole release like this would be a let down.

two fingers is cool, i love the first track but the vocals/lyrics get stale throughout the rest of the album so i haven't listened to it much, i should get the instrumentals

This track is alright. Technically impressive but I don't see it holding much depth or something I'd listen to regularly. I miss the older, laid back Tobin. Tracks like Deo, Bridge, Yasawas are consistently brilliant

sounds more like a demo of 'how to make technically amazing dubstep still sound kind of soulless'

amon tobin needs to make a Supreme Balloon style album where he's not allowed to use any samples, would have interesting results

I checked out the most seeded audio torrents on thepiratebay, and on page 3 after all the Lady Gaga and Tool torrents, there's one called "Ministry Of Sound Presents The Sound Of Dubstep"

they should've just called it
