Dexter - The Offical Thread

Just did a forum search, there is a fair amount of chatter about Dexter.

I only just discovered it, and normally I get my TV recommendations from watmm, the wire for instance but hadn't heard enough about this.

Its really good, touches on some amazing subjects from a totally opposite view point from the norm. I'm about halfway through season 3 and he has just helped his friend die from lung cancer. Its got quite the character build as well from season 1 where he is just doing things to stay in character as a "normal person."

So for any other WATMM'ers like me maybe in the UK, if you haven't given Dexter a try then do!

first two seasons are good, third sucked balls, then i got bored of waiting around for the fourth to pick up steam so i quite watching.

Yeah Dee Dee was my favorite on that show

i didnt like season 3 but everything before and after has been pretty good.

Like I said I'm part way through 3 and liking it so far. Looking foward to 4 if its meant to be better.

Also watching Pacific, not as good as band of brothers, although the latest episode with John the MOH winner is quite sad.

i like it quite a bit. i cannot wait til season 5 starts....

Meh, I think I stopped watching when I got to season 3 after a few episodes, little bit too much fillers there imo.

First season was interesting but why did they reveal the killer so fast? It seemed like a rushed second season of Twin Peaks (season 2). Second season was one big filler and the third one could have been interesting but Jimmy Smits' character was such an annoying dick. Season 4 was saved by John Lithgow who did a great job as the Trinity Killer and the ending was great! Something I had been waiting for for such a long time!

this show can be a hit and miss a bit but its pretty good, definitely very interested in how Season 5 goes.

The Pacific is purty fucking epic, it has some slow moments but I think they are handled relatively well. For some reason it seems more involving and entertaining than Band Of Brothers maybe I was just not that patient when I watched B o B or something (I was kind of falling asleep a lot of the time watching that boxset) but.. The Pacific is definitely keeping my attention.

if i'd been watching weekly on TV i don't think i would have made it to season 4

the end of season 4 was pretty cool but not as shocking/epic as people make out.

who is the guest star for season 5? any word?

i hated the ending of season 4, i really hated it. so i guess that makes it good. :P

I guess neither one of them are method actors what with boning each other IRL. Or, I guess, method doesn't preclude incest.
