Squee
lol @ terpentintollwut Also, someone needs to inform movie/tv-show directors that when a thunder storm is miiiiles away the lightning and the thunderclap don't sync up. That seems to be very difficult to understand. olo
Reveal hidden contents I haven't shared this with anyone, And I can tell you that this is what I personally would have done should I have stayed with the show. I chose not to stay with the show, and so everybody did what they did, and I had no problem with that…and I think they did a good job with the final episode. But here is what I personally would have pitched: In the very last scene of the series, Dexter wakes up. And everybody is going to think, 'Oh, it was a dream.' And then the camera pulls back and back and back and then we realize, 'No, it's not a dream.' Dexter's opening his eyes and he's on the execution table at the Florida Penitentiary. They're just starting to administer the drugs and he looks out through the window to the observation gallery. And in the gallery are all the people that Dexter killed—including the Trinity Killer and the Ice Truck Killer (his brother Rudy), LaGuerta who he was responsible killing, Rita, who he's arguably responsible for, Lila. All the big deaths, and also whoever the weekly episodic kills were. They are all there. That's what I envisioned for the ending of Dexter. That everything we've seen over the past eight seasons has happened in the several seconds from the time they start Dexter's execution to the time they finish the execution and he dies. Literally, his life flashed before his eyes as he was about to die. And just when Dexter is about to fade into death's sweet embrace, someone grabs his head & turns it to the other side. It's Doakes! he growls "Surprise Motherfucker!" I think it would have been a great, epic, very satisfying conclusion. revised Edited September 24, 2013 by olo Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide olo's signature Hide all signatures Thanks user487363530. Atop
it should have been epic and it wasn't, just sad...... I am glad it is over. The fourth season tricked us all. I was just chasing the tail of that season. Later Dexter. Have fun in tv hell. awepittance
After Season 1 of Dexter the show was on a major down hill slide. After Dok's died the show lost all it's fun. I remember Dexter actually used to be sort of a dark comedy when it started and turned into a very shitty drama with horribly cardboard characters like Quinn. On 9/24/2013 at 6:12 PM, Nebraska said: current showrunner and executive producer defend their choices man it's sad to read that, I'm really embarrassed for the writers of this show. I just think that the show was trapped from the get-go. You can't make a show about a 'serial killer' even if he's a protagonist who has absolutely nothing pathological or scarily serial killer like about him. There was never even a moment of the show where Dexter seemed to have any psycho sexual urge to kill people, it was all because of the 'code'.
