With regard to the 256 vs 128 rips.. Dug this out from an old post.

First half = 256K

Second half = 128K

Balanced for perceived loudness. I guess it's down to personal preference - because it's so heavily brickwalled, the 256 allows you to hear into the background detail more and maybe has better defined HF due to the bitrate, but the drums are just buried in the mix. 256 sounds good in the car (noisy environment) or on cruddy PC speakers, but my view is that the 128 is a more accurate representation of the original performance, so that's what I prefer.
