well they "can" beat anyone. I mean impossible is nothing and all that.

They did look a lot better in the second half against the turks, but their defense is has more holes than an asian brothel.

백호야~~~항상에 사랑할거예요.나의 아들.

Shout outs to the saracens, musulmen and celestials.

don't blame henry, blame the referees or the big heads that stand in the way of videoo referee.

Otherwise the world cup is the same good old joke. South African authorities are kicking the cripples and the beggars out of the city.

Also why the fuck is Friedel not the US keeper?Watching US-Turkey now. Turkey could be interesting with Hiddink as the manager.

He retired from International football.

Can't see beyond Spain on paper. Holland & Brazil in semi's. England at best in semi's but more likely quaters.

they beat spain in the confederation cups. that's why i think they can be a surprise in the world cup, it's a disciplined team with a strong mentality.

all these preparation games shouldn't be too much of an indication of how anyone's gonna play.

ZOMG! Lazerz pew pew pew!!!!11!!1!!!!1!oneone!shift+one!~!!!

I don't see why 3 players playing last cl final has to be a problem. The coach isn't stupid, he already gave them rest for the first friendly against Mexico and their training is calculated individually (<- does that work in English? :) ). Robben and Van Bommel, the players on the loosing side still won the double and have celebrated the successful season shortly after the lost final, which was considered a bonus anyway. Of course they were gutted, but there weren't any tears, rather a feeling of pride to have made the final. I don't see this working against them motivation wise.

Problem for Holland over the years has been the inevitable drop of concentration during important matches, what I call LSD moments. We need a couple of Italians for the defense that can stay focused and play to win whenever it is needed. Anyway, it will be madness here in town if they get far, every excuse to party and drink ridiculous amounts of alcohol is eagerly embraced :) .

1. what makes you think "rest for the first friendly match" is enough?

i'm sure we can agree that these three players are crucial for the way the team plays. and those players have joined the group roughly a week ago. and now they have a separate training schedule? good way to build a team. the schedule is far from optimal.

2. and who considered the cl final a bonus? i saw devastated players after the lost finals. it will take lots of energy to regain motivation after such a season. this is not to be underestimated, imo.

and that's where the lsd moments drop in. the psychological side of the preparation is a huge weakness in the dutch coaching team. they really have no clue in general. maybe it's different this time. but the fact that dutch coaches tend to blame psychological aspects of players for bad results, says it all really. the coach is responsible for the psychological preparation of the team. if the team isn't playing concentrated enough, the coach is the first to blame: the players haven't had the right preparation. as long as the dutch coaches don't understand this aspect, the dutch won't win a world cup. simple as that.

roughly 7/10 interviews with losing dutch coaches are about the concentration and sharpness of the players. and the coach generally talks about it, as if it's completely beyond his control.

Says Lampard of today's miserable and underwhelming performance:

  Quote
It was not a vintage performance by far but it's about players and the team trying to find their way a bit."

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, I COULD HAVE PULLED THIS QUOTE FROM ANY ENGLISH MATCH FROM THE LAST 20 GODDAMN YEARS!

<<<===== ENGLAND FOOTBALL: TRYING TO FIND THEIR WAY...A BIT. =====>>>

keep an eye out and see how many own goals japan score in the world cup :D

For their own team or helping other teams out as well? :D

I have cash money on the Holland

This years is a pretty open WC with no clear favourite, Spain always fuck it up for some reason tho so i'm discounting them.

England will not win with that squad of players, if they were going to do it then Germany was the WC for them this is four years too late.

I ended up about 20 stickers short with the last World Cup album. Irrelevant here, but I do have a complete 1979 Panini league album, and it's awesome.
