Fuck's sake - South Korea with a terrible defensive mistake for the first goal, then play some great football for the equalizer and then decide to leave Suarez unmarked again...jesus wept.

Oh well, at least the yanks went home.

Looking forward to the games today.

Man for man, England are the better team. Just depends if they turn up scared or not.

man for man hardly count in tournaments like these, i think. it's the best teams that win. in a 1+1 is not 2 sense, if you know what i mean. one thing that stuck with me seeing the english play is how often they're in each others way. they hardly play as a team. they're still a group of thrown together individuals seeking how to play with each other. if they haven't improved as a team over the last couple of days, this will be their last match. my money is on germany.

Hey chenGOD, as I lick the salty tears off your wetted cheek, might I ask if you still have such a mongoloidal, braindead opinion of video replay?

It would be easy for me to say this is payback for 1966, but you know what, I can't. FIFA have just ruined this game, no matter the outcome. That ball was at least a yard inside the box and the linesman was staring straight at it.

Nightmare. I can't wait for Hulk Hogan to make an appearance, because this is turning into a cartoon.

I'm sure all the Germans who grew up throwing darts at pinups of Geoff Hurst are enjoying this, but it's really a disgrace. Blatter has already said the game is "not ready" for even goal line video assistance.

On the biggest stage imaginable in easily the most viewed World Cup ever, in a knockout round match between titans of football, we now have a total farce.

It's too bad that goal did not count. There is absolutely no reason to not have a video review in big tournaments like this. If England loses this game 2-1, then they will talk about that goal for the next four years and probably longer. That said, England is not the only team to have had a clear goal not count or vice versa and will probably not be the last, unfortunately. Got to deal with it until FIFA fixes this.

On the game. Englands defense has looked like total ass on both German goals and Germany has been the better team overall in the first.

Regardless of that disallowed goal, England just haven't played that well. Our defence is awful. Not to mention our midfield and attack.

If it had been allowed, it's possible we could have started to play better, but that would be going against the evidence in our other games, and particularly this game. We had one decent match, that's all.

haha, England - a man for man better team?

I am glad that the Germans are mopping the floor with England as there should be no question who the better team was, disallowed goal or not.

Pretty much, and to be honest, this is a giant slice of heavenly schadenfreude and I'm going to soak up every calorie. Fuck every one of you English cunts who talked shit about the U.S., particularly chenGOD, das wunder twat!

I think it now has to be said, England are one of the worst teams in the tournament. John Terry looks to have been possessed by the spirit of Jay DeMerit. Rooney is utterly useless, Gerrard never saw a ball he didn't want to waste, and Garreth Barry looks like Bea Arthur out there.

Good fucking riddance.

germany played good. the next match is looking to be interesting. i'm thinking about germany - argentina, of course. mexico is just here to fill the field with another 11 players. lol

Not so fast. Anything can happen. Mexico pushed the Argies to the brink in 2006, but yes, I'm already salivating over a possible Kraut/Argie quarter. :spiteful:
