Although, i am sceptical. Could be just bad journalism.Anyway the new video which is really nice, and does not takes itself to seriuosly, has spreaded through the music news today, like there could be something coming. Comparable the great media interest in the unreleased aphex track in metz. We will see.

My Bet: It will be a collaboration album, a contuniation of just a souvenir.

When i saw the thread's title in the forum's root page i thought i was gonna be about aphex. THen i figured out this thread belongs to the squarepusher's subforum.

Of course, the first official track of Jas that warp has leaked through myspace 2 years ago, and that we all know since bangface 2008. That was not what i have meant. The video itself is a about a month old and i think by a high percantage Tom might see this video for the first time by himself. And all because pitchfork liked the video and decided to put it on the main page today. But in some form pitchfork knows more than we do... Well it could be a hint..

Anyway my bet will be an colloboration album.

I'm excited to hear what he has come up with. I liked JaS and really liked Numbers Lucent, so hopefully he'll continue on in that direction. I love his jazzy breaks or spastic digital sounds, but he can only do that for so long. What he's putting out, imo, is good music, so I'm pumped!

If so, this is more evidince that Mr. Tom is excepting other people to join his creative process. And i am not sure if you are aware of this statement:

The video is fun, which is a good thing, but it's not ground breaking and isn't going to grab anywhere near the attention of his Chris Cunningham collaborations. Hopefully we'll see a release of that new film with Chris soon! It's good to see him not taking the track too seriously, but it really is reminiscent of his brothers videos. It's not too suprising though considering his brothers music is often slightly similar to his.

Anyhoos Im hyped for a new release, and if it is a collab I'd prefer a meeting of electronic musicians. Some more tracks with Aphex wouldn't go amiss or any of his other peers for that matter. I hope he doesn't use that drummer again.

Hope it's gonna be like numbers lucent, I liked that EP a lot.

This year is going to be epic!

With Autechre, Flying Lotus and Ceephax albums already out, probably new Aphex, hopefully Plaid's Scintili and now this.
