pretty depressing really, the 'trophy' was knowing your way through the map, understanding the mechanics of a tough enemy and the lamentation of the women. Nowadays they give away a medal because a medal is what the boyscout newbie needs to demonstrate his valour. We have lost our way, as it has been given to the lowest common slobinator.

I think you guys are thinking about Call Of Duty and it's rip-offs. I also hate singleplayer campaigns in those types of games (military shooters mostly).

But the Halo games still have some great single player level designs, if you ask me.

I think this is mis-labeled, as I originally saw this as a lamentation of how Final Fantasy XIII's dungeons are so linear compared to past FF games...
