Autechre played at an art gallery tonight

i played at an artgallery earlier tonight. did a set that my wife described as "fsol, the orb, and autechre in the same room." sold a couple of cds, met cool people and got flirted on by a couple of chics! one girls was like "you're asymmetrical head? your head looks pretty straight to me. i was expecting to see someone with a totally lobsided head!" then a hottie asian girl after the set comes up to me and says... "you don't look like the type that would be playing this music" i was like "why's that?" then she says "cuz you're not nerdy looking... and you're pretty muscular!"... i can tell she wanted to suck dick... but i went home.

and as i drove home, i listened to oversteps through the streets of los angeles. oversteps and the streets of L.A. at night go hand in hand.

maybe if I play music at art galleries my dick will get sucked

tell us when these shows happen so we can swoop the chicks you can't sleep with

Nice, I've played a few sets pretty much just like the one you did, and they were really fun. Always nice to force people to listen to IDM - an art gallery is one of the few places you can get away with it

I'm playing an art show in a couple weeks. Goddamn 3 hour set. It's a wine bar, so I get free wine all night.

I love art show sets because I don't feel the burden of having to try and make people dance.

I had the same reaction once... I was performing my "lighter side" IDM project (odd place too, I performed sitting on a couch with my laptop, a controller and some mini-effects)... Guess it's odd to see me playing lush pads.

i'm bald, wear glasses, no beard though. and i'm pretty muscluar. i never seen an idm producer as fit as i.
