When an ordinary person hears it, it seems they automatically perceive a stereotype of shitty, noisy music. The kind you'd expect bad neighbours to blast out of their speakers at three in the morning. It's a shame, because there is a lot of fun to be had with this mix. If you're an an energetic mood, you can swing to it and really feel it coursing through your body.

lol

Seriously, I needed that.

What's an ordinary person? If you are not one yourself, how can you speak for them? Also,

I would suggest not saying YOU in retarded statements like that. Replace the YOU with "I", as you can't tell anyone how they personally feel. I'm just saying. I'd expect my bad neighbors to play something shit, not this awesome remix. Actually, wtf are you talking about? Do you read what you write before hitting the "add reply" button?

The other two tracks are genuine pieces of beauty.

I think Boxing Day was right about you being a troll, sneaksta. What I meant to say was that Run The Place Red (AFX Mix) is a great remix, but people who don't usually listen to that kind of music would hear it as something abrasive and repulsive without seeing how good it really is.

And when I say the KTPA tracks are beautiful, I really do mean that.

i really like the pervasive aura surrounding 26 mixes for cash. it seems strange to me that its a compilation...i would totally believe it was an album the way it flows and the super wet gripping sounds and wide atmosphere...my fav aphex release atm

edit: i remember being on acid looking @ dali's the temptation of st. anthony on acid listening to triachus...one of the most awesome image/music combinations ever...words were swirling around the pedestals and the elephants were growing to enormous proportions

'Let my fish loose' never seems to get a mention, its amazing. Love the strings and the plucking sounds that come in underneath @ 1:40 sorta remind me of girl/boy. Proper chiller track.

I usually skip Let My Fish Loose. I never really considered it to be a serious track, as it probably only took him a few minutes to record it.

Do you actually mean that? A few minutes?

But where is the lovely remix of Sand Lowe ?

Never heard that track, thanks!

Just because you don't like much, doesn't mean you're wrong most of the time. In the scheme of things, I like very little myself. Your preface was implied, and I was just giving you shit, cuz I find so many on that album to be enjoyable.

seemed to me that even aphex twin himself didnt like a lot of the tracks, hence the name "26 mixes for cash" aka "i didnt really like these but i just made them to make money so please dont think i make shitty tracks and take them seriously

well if that is the case, i wonder which ones he didnt like.only ones i could do without are the vibert and mescalinum united remixes, i like all the rest.

he should have remixed dmx more often, perfect combo.

i haven't given 26mfc a proper listen in about 4 years, but the seefeel one is my all time favorite remix of his. smojphace... i liked it when i first bought it but eventually died out. i only heard the 2 noise tracks once. that was when i first bought the cd and listened to it through. I saved run the place red on my comp and put the cd away. so basically... i didn't like the 2 tracks.
