i've never sucked this guys dick, saying that he composes fast beats at nearly the same level of aphex twin was meant to be an insult to aphex twin and fast beats in general

he's ok, but he's just not on the same level as afx, ae etc. there's a certain also-ran quality to his music that just turns me off after a few tracks. i know you can work a beat repeat benn, try not to make it the backbone of the song.

Well, I like that new track. The beats don't really remind me that much of Aphex or Squarepusher (aside from that they're of a style those artists helped define), but it reminds me a lot of older Telfon Tel Aviv. TTA had a kind of similar cinematic thing going on. Anyway, I've liked a few big budget epic battle movies in my time too --they can't all be Herzog. Benn's good at what he does, and it probably does genuinely resonate emotionally for him when he makes it. Just because something's super polished doesn't mean no heart went into it.

I don't care if it's on the same level as Drukqs on paper Drukqs has a completely different intent like to literally overwhelm and put the responsibility on the listener to 'keep up'. flahbulb is like soooo epic. He also learned to lucid dream like aphex twin but he's one of those guys who just starts flying around when he enters a lucid state because he's a fgt. aphex murders everyone he knows in cartoonish ways but no seriously if there was any truth to the lucid dreaming thing I imagine he'd do cool stuff
