You missed a flippin excellent concert, first section was just gamelan, it was a lot better than i expected - nice long pieces that built up slowly and intricately.

Plaid played for (sometimes with gamelan peeps) 45 minutes, they kicked off two new trax before repeating tha tunes they played at the RFH a year back, the tracks seem to have been subtly re-worked.

The sound in the theatre wasn't all that great but the concert finished to a standing ovation.

Wow - i think that is the 6th time i've seem this year only pity is the occasionally venues chosen that simply cannot handle the frequencies their music plays at (e.g at Manchester and esp, at the North Rute venue in London)

Can't wait to catch them again in Oxford and London in Oct! will have seem then 8 times in one year! WikkkkkId-Son.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket the evening before in Bristol. When i got back , i had an email with a spare for Brum as well but didnt go to that one. Bristol was a mixture of standing and sitting but i was totally mesmirised by the whole setup. Last track was really the one for me, with it all coming together.

Fo'Shizzle - I'd recommend anyone in two minds about going to see the live show in Sep/Oct, you won't regret it! It's a pity the collaboration won't see be released as truly the collaboration does work and compliments each other.

Just wondering what the acoustics are like in the remaining venues....
