When someone asked Robert Kirkman if Merle, the black guy, and his son would show up in season 3, he said something like "It is 100% certain that 33% of those people will be in season 3." So I'm guessing it's Merle. He is missing his hand, which makes the mathematically incorrect "33%" more accurate.

The first two seasons haven't been exploring the greater themes of the undead so much as they've been turning the camera on Lori and T-Dog fighting about who left the cheese uncovered, while every once in a while a zombie wanders by in the background, peeks in the windows and decides it probably doesn't want to get involved.

but let me spoil that arc completely for you and let you judge by yourself:

so season3 promises to be pretty action packed if it follows th comics

michonne is sexy as fuck.

They actually made me give a fuck about Lori, like when will that bitch die?

best episode in a long time. played up the survival elements really well. there wasn't tons of dialog, and no more of corny ass Shane to deal with. the gas mask zombie was great, especially when Rick rips its face off.

I really hated this show after season 2, but they COULD pull it together if they keep it like this.

This new episode was thoroughly decent and enjoyable. Pretty tense. Everyone seems to have grown the fuck up in 6 months without Shane acting like a 16 year old. Even Lori. Breath of fucking fresh air.

Plus, there was a cunnilingus joke.
